A hotel where even New Orleans natives would feel at home, the Maison St. Charles is nestled in the beautiful Lower Garden District. The hotel is comprised of Antebellum homes along with modern buildings surrounding New Orleans - style courtyards. The St. Charles Avenue Streetcar runs at the hotel's front door, making transportation not only easily accessible, but a true New Orleans experience. Only blocks from the French Quarter, the hotel is within walking distance of the Arts and Museum District and National D-Day Museum and close to Cruise Ports, Aquarium of the Americas, Harrah's Casino and the Superdome.
La Madeleine French Bakery and Café is on property, offering guests a chance to taste delectable French cuisine. Beautifully appointed guest rooms open to one of three lushly-landscaped courtyards. Each room offers coffee service, a hairdryer, free local calls, data ports and in-room safe. The hotel allows pets, offers parking for a fee, and serves breakfast mornings for a charge. Renovation Notice: Effective May 16, 2007, the hotel's La Madeleine restaurant is closed for renovations, with no estimated date of completion available. During this time, room service remains unavailable, but the hotel offers complimentary continental breakfasts and many restaurants in the immediate area have reopened following Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts. The St. Charles Avenue streetcar is out of service, but a bus operates on this route on a limited schedule and the Canal Street streetcars are running.
