With a nod to the past, the SoHo Grand Rooms's lobby features a suspended cast iron stairway to the second floor and is cutting-edge chic, with 16-foot windows draped with muslin and velvet, a mercury glass ceiling unexpectedly accented with chicken wire and upholstered pieces in a mix of textiles. Commissioned works by SoHo artists are displayed throughout the hotel and the guestrooms, and some works are available for purchase.
